Thunder Cranes is pleased to announce the launch of operations in Luanda, to serve Angola and western Africa. In line with its vision to become a global leader in offshore lifting solutions, this development follows on from the recent re-opening of the Thunder Cranes base in the UAE.
In Angola, Thunder Cranes has entered into a partnership with Tubostrans LDA, a leading oilfield services company based in Luanda, with extensive experience and links in the region. Tubostrans is headquartered in the capital since 2009, and has several facilities including a 20000 ft2 yard and workshop facilities in Talatona. The collaboration will enable Thunder Cranes to leverage on Tubostrans’ local support services to address the need for world-class lifting solutions in the offshore industry of western and southern Africa.
Dinesh Arumugam, CEO of Thunder Cranes said “We are excited to launch Angola, and have found the ideal partner to support our operations. Thunder Cranes is committed to helping customers in the region with cost-effective and efficient lifting solutions to support offshore projects. We have said it many times but it bears repeating: once we are provided with a chance to showcase what we can do, new clients will find our services extremely useful to facilitate their offshore projects.”
